Step 1: Greeting
“Today we are going to meet a special letter!”

Show big flashcard A a.

πŸ‘‰ Ask:

  • What letter is this?
  • Can everyone say A?

 

Step 2: Sound Introduction
Teacher exaggerates sound:

πŸ—£ “A says /a/ /a/ /a/ — like APPLE!”

Children repeat 3 times.

 

Step 3: Story Introduction
Show story image.

Say:

“This is Alex the Alligator. Alex wanted to be an Astronaut!”

Ask:

  • What animal is this?
  • Where is he going?

(Encourage prediction thinking.)

 

 

Step 4: Vocabulary Words
Repeat together:

  • A for Alligator
  • A for Astronaut
  • A for Avocado

Clap once for each word.
