Play School Journal

🌈 Welcome to Play School Journal

      Hello and welcome!

I’m Akshayaa Aravindan, an early years educator and play school professional, and I’m so happy you’re here.
Play School Journal is a dedicated space for parents, teachers, and early childhood educators who believe that children learn best through meaningful play and purposeful teaching practices.
Here, you’ll find:
Theme-based learning ideas
Practical preschool activities
Early years pedagogy insights
✨ Portfolio and observation guidance
PTM tips and classroom strategies
✨ Child-friendly stories and worksheets
✨ Real experiences from early years classrooms
After working closely with young children and educators, I realized that many of us are searching for:

• Practical activity ideas
• Developmentally appropriate teaching methods
• Simple and structured learning plans
• Support in understanding early childhood pedagogy

So I created Play School Journal to share tried, tested, and classroom-friendly ideas that support the holistic development of preschool children — including fine motor, gross motor, language, cognitive, and social-emotional growth.
Every post is thoughtfully designed for real classrooms and real children, focusing on:
✔ Kindergarten methodologies
✔ Child development principles
✔ Creativity and imagination
✔ Emotional and social growth
Easy-to-implement classroom strategies

My goal is to bridge theory and practice — making early learning joyful, meaningful, and practical for both teachers and parents.
Thank you for being part of this journey.

Stay connected for weekly preschool learning inspiration, theme-based activities, and classroom-ready resources.

Together, let’s make early learning playful, purposeful, and powerful.

✨ With love,

Akshayaa Aravindan
